Teeter Tip #4 - Photograph All Valuables

This may sound like old school but it is not.
This is more than an insurance tip, this is a financial "put
money in your account" tip.
Protect yourself from losing valuable equity in items that have
dramticallly changed in value, such as jewelry, precious stones,
coins, collectible items, etc. Store the pictures and a list of the
items in a safe deposit box.
Insurance companies are becoming more critical of loss claims and
having pictures gives you a big advantage when negotiating not only
value but that the item actually existed.
